Elva Mae Wilgus, 86, of DeGraff, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in East Liberty on May 14, 1926, a daughter of the late Herschel and Bessie McGinnis Moore. She also was preceded in death by a son, Richard Scott Wilgus; four brothers, Claude, George, Hugh and Lowell Moore; two sisters, Marjorie Rummel and Irma Krouskop; and a great-grandson.
On Oct. 15, 1949, she married Richard M. Wilgus in East Liberty and he survives, along with four daughters, Dixie (Tom) Mann of Jackson Center, and Vickie (Chuck) Strayer, Lisa (Randy) Ransbottom and Lori Fraley, all of DeGraff; a daughter-in-law, Jo Wilgus of DeGraff; a sister, Rachel Roberts of Bellefontaine; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A 1944 graduate of East Liberty High School, she was a member of First Christian Church in Bellefontaine and retired from DAB in Bellefontaine.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and at the ladies morning coffee klatch in DeGraff.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where a funeral begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
