Thomas Warren Elliott, 74, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Highland Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Fla.
He was born in Bellefontaine on June 4, 1938, to the late Orrie Scott and Lucille Carrie Brenneman Elliott.
On Sept. 4, 1960, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Louise Brown, at the New Salem Lutheran Church and she survives, along with a son, Scott Lowell (Jeannie) Elliott of Wilmington; a daughter, Erika Lynn (Jon) Spears of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Kylinn and Mason Coleman, Lindsay Shirk and Nichole Lambert; great-grandchild, Bailey Jones; his sister, Karen Sue Kaiser of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was a radiology nuclear technician at Mary Rutan Hospital for 37 years and retired in 2000. He was known to everyone for his whistle and his smiling face. Tom also worked as a massage therapist for five years at Latham’s Care Center.
A 1956 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, he served with the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1967.
He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Harold Kerr Post 173 American Legion, Sunny Hill RV Camping Club Chapter 2, Fan Clan RV Camping Club and was a life member of BPOElks 132.
Pastors Rob Fulton and Don Hare officiate a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, with military honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
