Paul L. Williams


Paul L. Williams, 68, of West Liberty, passed away at his residence Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.

He was born in Bellefontaine on March 8, 1944, to the late Thomas L. and Oma E. Fender Williams. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Samantha A. Williams; sisters, Doris Ann Schultz and Phyllis Irene Yoder; and a brother-in-law, Darrell Yoder.

On Oct. 10, 1964, he married the former Leila N. Karg in Bellefontaine and she survives, along with two daughters, Sheryl (Marcia Mason) Williams of Georgia and Stacey (Doug) Bleininger of Belle Center; two grandchildren, Heather and Dennis Bleininger; his aunt, Margaret Lockwood; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

After 30 years of service, he retired from Navistar and then worked for E.W.H. Spectrum for 17 years.

Paul graduated in 1962 from Logan Hills High School and was an avid bowler. He bowled in the Sunset League and was HAM radio operator KD8GF.

He enjoyed watching his grandchildren show at the Logan County Fair and the Ohio State Fair.

He and his wife, Leila, loved riding the Harley, but they never knew where they would end up.

The Revs. Bryan Meadows and Dick Rohrer officiate a funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home, West Liberty, where calling is two hours prior. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.

Special thanks to all the aides and nurses at Senior Independence Hospice. He will be sadly missed by everyone.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Senior Independence Hospice, 6520 Poe Ave., Dayton 45414; and to the Ronald McDonald House, 711 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus 43205.
