James Robert “Bob” Slonecker, 79, of Circleville, died Nov. 13, 2012, at Pickaway Manor.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Jan. 10, 1933, a son of the late Carl and Freda King Slonecker. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Max Slonecker.
He is survived by his wife, Ann R. Rodgers Slonecker; children, Sheila (Joseph) Stump, Sandra (Dennis) Williams, David G. (Elaine) Dunaway and Dale R. (Annette) Dunaway; nine grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Stephen, Melissa, Kyle, Steven, Stacy, Jason and Brian; seven great-grandchildren, Lia, Brandon, Ellie, Carter, Sydney, Tyler and Holly; two sisters, Phyllis Slonecker and Mary (Melvin) Yoder; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from City Loan.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, where a funeral begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday. A graveside service is at 1 p.m. Friday in Springboro Cemetery.
