CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) — A woman swept from her car amid fast-moving water managed to get help to her husband and toddler still inside the vehicle after it went off the road and into a rain-swollen creek in southwestern Ohio.
Clearcreek Township Police Chief John Terrill says water carried the woman for more than a mile after the 6:30 a.m. accident Monday on state Route 741. He says she reached a farmhouse and authorities were able to find her husband and 3-year-old child atop the car, which had water up to the windows.
Winds from Sunday storms overturned recreational vehicles at a southern Ohio campground in Jeffersonville.
Media reports say a man in an RV that overturned at the Walnut Lake campground was taken to a hospital with injuries but expected to be OK.
