CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (AP) — A few dedicated Thanksgiving sales shoppers in northeast Ohio have claimed spots in line more than a week before doors open for holiday specials.
The Akron Beacon Journal (http://bit.ly/IfVeJE ) reports eager customers started pitching tents outside the Best Buy in Cuyahoga Falls this week, a full 10 days early.
The first was 28-year-old Jonas Allooh of Willowick, who says he and nine friends rotate manning their tent around the clock as required. They're set up for the wait, with a space heater, bed, microwave oven, television and game console. Allooh hopes to snag a TV and a computer monitor when they start at the front of the line on Thanksgiving Day.
He says the biggest challenge of sleeping in the parking lot is the honking from passing drivers at night.
