MIAMISBURG, Ohio (AP) — Health officials in southwest Ohio are urging customers of a suburban Dayton nail salon to get a free tuberculosis test after an employee there was diagnosed with the disease.
Public Health of Dayton and Montgomery County said the employee of Galaxy Nail Spa in Miami Township is on leave and being treated for drug-resistant TB. Officials say current customers aren't at risk of contracting tuberculosis.
The agency says customers who have been to the business more than once since March 1 and any customer with a weakened immune system should be tested.
The owner of the business tells the Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1cQhRRT ) an employee began feeling sick after returning in March from vacation in Vietnam. He says the employee thought allergies were the problem until she was diagnosed.
