Ex-husband of Toledo woman killed turns himself in

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The ex-husband of a Toledo woman killed on Christmas Eve has turned himself in to police.

Forty-three-year-old Robert Carter was charged with aggravated murder in his ex-wife's death after surrendering at police headquarters on Tuesday.

It's unclear whether he has an attorney.

His ex-wife, 41-year-old Wendabi Triplett, was shot at about 11 p.m. Monday and was pronounced dead at a local hospital a couple hours later.

The Toledo Blade reports (http://bit.ly/ZyGopb) that the killing brings the number of homicides in the metro area to 50 this year.
