Crews made quick work of removing two 30,000-gallon propane tanks from Benjamin Logan elementary and high schools Thursday, completing the work by noon. School officials said both tanks were removed with no problems thanks to a lot of coordination between the crane and school crews. The spaces vacated will be converted into additional parking. The tank removal was part of the district’s House Bill 264 energy saving project in which the district switched from propane fuel to natural gas. (PHOTO | BENJAMIN LOGAN SCHOOLS)
