Coloring book creation

ILHS-Graphic-design

Indian Lake High School student Tori Franks, left, explains how she designed a coloring book in her graphic design class to Indian Lake Elementary School first-grader Allison Shepherd. Members of the graphic design course created the coloring books using Photoshop software. Sample copies were sent to first-grade students for review. The younger students learned about evaluation tools such as rubrics as well as basic components of design. The evaluations then were returned to the graphic design students at the high school. Finally, each first-grader was able to select a coloring book of their choice to keep. (PHOTO | INDIAN LAKE SCHOOLS)
