Local jeweler’s fundraiser benefits Habitat for Humanity

Michael Eller check

A Nov. 7 fundraiser at Michael Eller Diamonds, 2240 S. U.S. Route 68, has raised approximately $4,200 for Habitat for Humanity of Logan County. Store manager Doug Kreinbrink presented a $2,554.60 check this week to Kathi Bow, Habitat executive director. Fellow donors on hand for the presentation were Shane Seidenstricker, Sandy Musser and Justin Powell. Mr. Kreinbrink said the store plans to host the event, called “Let’s Build a House Habitat for Humanity Night,” annually each November. The donations helped build the charity’s 24th house at 517 N. Elm St. The nearly complete home will be occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Casey Greener. Mrs. Bow said planning is underway for construction of Habitat’s 25th home in the coming months.  For more information about the charity, call 539-0275 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
