Food Science students at Benjamin Logan High School recently completed a two-month extreme couponing project to secure the most items and savings.
Students were given a spending cap of $15 and used newspaper ads, on-line coupons, and price matching retailers.
Collectively, the class of 10 students purchased 220 items for $84.99. Alic Bickham led the class with the total savings of $36.12 and Gwen Reaver lead the class with the most items, 75. The total saving was $72.77.
All items will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul.
Students included Jessica Skidmore, Dillon Park, Jasmine Wical, Preston Miller, Holly Parker, Taylor McNamara, Michael Green, Simon Engle, Gwen Reaver and Alic Bickham.
