The Indian Lake High School FFA’s hog roast this month prior to the Grennon-Indian Lake football game raised nearly $3,900, a record-breaking amount for the annual event. FFA members helped to cook the meat and prepare all of the supplies for the event. Organizers also noted that freshman member Ashley Holycross sold 90 pre-sale tickets. Money from the hog roast assists the FFA members in purchasing T-shirts, sweatshirts and attending the National FFA Convention. Also, for the past 10 years, the Indian Lake FFA chapter has donated between $200-$500 toward Bikes to Tikes Christmas toy fund for young children. |
