Members of the Indian Lake High School SADD chapter are preparing for Red Ribbon Week, which is slated for Oct. 29 through Nov. 2. Each day will offer a different theme that encourages students to not use drugs: Monday, Oct. 29 — Black out drugs; wear black or black-out Indian Lake T-shirts. Tuesday, Oct. 30 — Say peace out to drugs; wear 70’s dress or tye-dye. Wednesday, Oct. 31— Put a cap on drugs and “hairs” to a drug-free life; wear hats with crazy hair. Thursday, Nov. 1 — I’m too bright for drugs; wear neon or bright colors. Friday, Nov. 2 — Stay in the game, be drug free; wear athletic wear or team jerseys. The week of Oct. 15-19 was Teen Driver Safety Week, where SADD members provided daily tips for safe driving, with emphasis given to not texting and driving.
