County Road 9 closure expected to last into next week

County Road 9 likely will be closed at the railroad crossing south of Rushsylvania until at least the middle of the week of Oct. 6, CSX personnel told Rushsylvania village officials Monday.

Residents should remember to take alternate routes to reach Rushsylvania.

Man flown from residence

A Belle Center-area man was transported by MedFlight helicopter from the 16000 block of north State Route 235 to a Columbus hospital after he was found in a shed behind his residence. He was taken to Grant Medical Center.

Indian Lake EMS and BMRT responded to the scene.

Barbara L. Hedgespeth, 23, of Georgetown, Ind., was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, and Miles K. Ball, 28, at large, was served a warrant for failure to appear after a reported overdose around 8:50 p.m. Friday.
