SCHOOL NOTES : Hi-Point board seeks public input in superintendent search

The Ohio Hi-Point Board of Education invites the community to an open forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, to seek input on the characteristics, skills and experience the board should consider in evaluating candidates for the career center's next superintendent.

The open forum will take place in Room 102A in the high school at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, 2280 State Route 540.

The public is also encouraged to complete a survey at www.ohiohipoint.com/superintendent-search to identify key attributes the next Ohio Hi-Point superintendent should possess. The surveys must be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 10.

The West Liberty-Salem guidance office hosts its annual Financial Aid Night at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in the cafetorium, with Iris Mirelez, financial aid officer from Wright State University, presenting information on types of aid and completing the FAFSA process.

Indian Lake BOE to discuss former school site properties

The Indian Lake Board of Education will conduct a special board meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in the district's board office.

Board members will convene and immediately vote to enter into executive session to discuss the former school site properties in Huntsville and Lakeview.

During that time, board members will consider the sale of those properties via competitive bidding. No action will be taken.
