SIDNEY — A Jackson Center man faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine after pleading guilty Tuesday in Shelby County Common Pleas Court to a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony.

Cheryl J. Baird, 42, of 560 N. Oak St., Lakeview, was transported by an Indian Lake squad to Mary Rutan Hospital and later transferred to St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, for facial fractures incurred in a fight Wednesday night at 8890 Township Road 239, Lot 58, Lakeview.

Juvenile in custody in connection with Shelby County robberies

A male juvenile has been incarcerated in Shelby County on two counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department and Sidney Police investigation into the early Tuesday morning armed robbery of two people in Sidney and the burglary of a home along south County Road 25A.
