Woman lodged for forgery, theft

SCHWER

Washington Township Police arrested Tiffany Schwer, 25, of 7452 Edison St., Waterbury, Russells Point, after her grandmother, Alberta L. Major, of the same address, reported missing blank checks Monday afternoon.

The granddaughter was charged with three counts each of felony forgery and theft from a disabled adult after forging three checks totaling $290. She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Russells Point plans demolition

The village of Russells Point urges motorists and pedestrians to use caution Tuesday when traveling in the vicinity of 222 Marshall Street while the village removes a condemned structure, per Logan County Board of Health authorization.

Village crews will use a newly acquired mini excavator and save a substantial dollar amount by performing the task “in-house,” rather than outsourcing the work.
