Local medical cooperative to return to Haiti

Gretna Brethren Church, Oak Grove Mennonite Church and Bellefontaine First Church of God are sending a team of 15 people to Haiti in May to help relieve the health needs in Haiti by setting up medical clinics throughout the rural areas of the small island country.

The Bellefontaine Water Department lifted a boil advisory issued Wednesday after a water line repair project.

The affected properties were: 113 to 140 Prospect Ave.; 1304 Paul St.; 1405 S. Main St.; and 1304 Wright St.

Area preschools receive ‘Five-Star’ Award

Officials from the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center that serves Hardin, Logan and Shelby counties announced today that two of its preschool centers have received a Five-Star “Step Up To Quality Award” from the Ohio Department of Education.
