Two Bellefontaine-based Ameriprise Financial Services agents have joined with a larger Columbus firm to expand the scope and continuity of services they provide the local community.

Jeff Martin and Lowell Yoder, who are also marking their 25th anniversary serving the community, announced at a Thursday gathering of clients they are joining with the Schumacher Group.

They will continue to offer their financial services from their 101 N. Main St. office, but will now have access to a more diverse selection of products and services, the financial consultants said.

Mr. Yoder said he began exploring ways to fill in the gaps and offer broader services about a year ago before finding a good match in the Schumacher Group, which is also an Ameriprise franchise.

“We are like minded and have the same values and share a faith in Jesus Christ,” Mr. Yoder said. “We are looking to grow our business into the future.”

Mike Perez, a managing partner and CEO of the Schumacher Group, said the partnership is a good move for both parties.

“This was a good fit for us,” he said. “We were looking to build out our team and this offers them access to the services we provide.”
