“This has been a tremendous start with our pacesetters,” he said, noting the campaign committee hopes to increase overall giving by at least five percent this year.

Total pacesetter pledges were $171,820, almost $32,000 more than last year.

This year’s pacesetters are Belletech Corp., Honda Transmission Manufacturing Inc., Logan County Electrical Cooperative, Mary Rutan Hospital/Logan View, Nash Finch Co., Precision Custom Products Inc., Steve Austin’s Auto Group, World Class Plastics Inc. and Logan County Development Disabilities.

This year’s goal is to raise $655,000 for the 22 United Way program partner agencies.

“We have some really good numbers to get us started,” said Executive Director Jim Donnelly. “I know we’ll reach our goal.”
