No injuries reported in semi crash

S.R. 47-235 crash updated

Devon Durflinger, 23, of Marysville, was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign following a crash about 8:40 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 5 at County Road 50.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that he was operating a northbound minivan on C.R. 5 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an eastbound semi tractor-trailer on C.R. 50 operated by Jay Hurley, 38, of Lewistown.

No injuries were reported. Mr. Durflinger and his 2-year-old daughter reportedly were checked at the scene by emergency personnel, but were not transported.

Two people were transported Sunday to Mary Rutan Hospital, following a three-vehicle crash at state routes 235 and 47.

Franklin Collins, 71, and his passenger, Anne Collins, 59, each was transported by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries sustained in a crash about noon Sunday at state routes 235 and 47.

Troopers report that Jordan Cline, 28, of Bellefontaine, was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. He then pulled into the path of a northbound minivan operated by Mr. Collins.

Mr. Cline’s SUV also struck a westbound pickup operated by Danny Marlatt, 50, of Orville.

No other injuries were reported.

Mr. Cline was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
