The threat of rain loomed throughout, but the 47th West Liberty Labor Day Festival was completed in its entirety over the weekend at Lions Park, organizers report.
“We didn’t even have to stop playing ball Saturday,” Lions Club member Mike King reported, adding that about a half-inch of rainfall overnight Saturday did cause a two-hour delay in Sunday’s antique tractor pull.
“But we got it in,” he said.
