City woman charged with falsification

Brandie Henry, 22, of 140 1/2 N. Stanley St., was charged Wednesday by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department with falsification after lying to authorities about a Tuesday assault.

She originally claimed while receiving treatment on Tuesday that a local man had beat her. She later admitted the assault occurred in Springfield, but she refused to identify the suspect because he threatened to kill her.
