Christian Alltop, 17, of 8990 State Route 368, Huntsville, was charged with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business following a brief foot pursuit with law enforcement.
About 1:09 p.m. Tuesday, Allen County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Super Wal-Mart, 2400 Harding Highway, Lima, in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
The 2003 black GMC Yukon Denali was located in the store parking lot and inside was Mr. Alltop and a 16-year-old Columbus-area girl who had been reported missing.
A records check alerted Allen County deputies that the vehicle had been reported stolen about 8 p.m. Sunday from an address at 7662 Sir Francis Drake Ave., Russells Point.
The girl was turned over to family members. The suspect was lodged in the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center and likely will face additional charges in Logan County, Sheriff Andrew J. Smith reports.
Christian was previously arrested at a local fast food restaurant in late May, after reportedly being missing for more than two weeks, for a probation violation stemming from an orginal charge of receiving stolen property.
