Area high school pupils had the opportunity Thursday to dig their hands in some dirt and get a closer look at the interactions between soils, forestry, wildlife and aquatics during Envirothon training offered at Camp Myeerah.

Envirothon teams from Riverside, Indian Lake and Bellefontaine high schools participated in the annual event hosted by Logan County Pheasants Forever Chapter 285 and the Logan Soil and Water Conservation District.
These hands-on experiences were offered in preparation for the Area IV Envirothon Competition, slated Tuesday at the Proctor Center in London, Ohio.
