Lakeview Village Council approved at its most recent meeting the 5K on the Lake that is Saturday, July 5, in conjunction with Fourth of July activities at Indian Lake State Park.
Fiscal Officer Rebecca Larrabee reported that information for the operation of Emil Davis Park had been received, including background checks of new park manager Lou Ross and a food service license.
Ms. Larrabee also reported that the village’s software company CMI Utility Billing Software submitted a quote for $500 to upgrade software so that property owners, as well as tenants, would be notified of past due bills.
Council has heard from at least one landowner who has expressed frustration over being stuck with utility bills in excess of $1,000 because his tenants ran up the bill, and then left the residence and he was never made aware.
Council tabled that item until its next meeting, at 7:30 p.m. May 5.
