Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report a missing elderly woman from Kettering was found unharmed Tuesday near Huntsville after a passerby observed that the woman had driven off State Route 117 into a field.
The caller said she was concerned because the driver, Wyneth Palmer, 79, had appeared to be disoriented and had asked for directions to Kettering.
Deputies responded to the area shortly after 8 p.m., and noted that Ms. Palmer’s vehicle was covered in mud. She did not report any injuries.
Ms. Palmer’s family had filed a missing person report Tuesday with the Kettering Police Department.
She was transported to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, where she was met by a Kettering officer and a family member.
