Darren Logsdon, 41, of North Lewisburg, was charged with felonious assault Friday following an incident in Zanesfield earlier that week.
Wednesday afternoon, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence of his girlfriend Kristen Carpenter, 4670 County Road 10, Zanesfield.
Ms. Carpenter, 36, reported that she had been assaulted by Mr. Logsdon on March 23, and deputies observed that both of her eyes were black and blue.
She said the defendant became upset by an image on her cell phone and reportedly held her on the floor while smashing her cell phone into her face. He also reportedly choked her and when she escaped outside of the home, he pulled her back inside. Ms. Carpenter said she also vomited several times during the altercation.
She was treated at Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville for her injuries, including a concussion.
Mr. Logsdon was lodged in the Logan County Jail about 4 p.m. Friday.
