Commissioners confident capital funds will come through

As much as $150,000 could be en route from state legislators to fund upgrades to the Logan County Fairground.

Fair Board members learned Wednesday in a rescheduled regular meeting that Logan County Commissioners have petitioned state lawmakers for capital improvement funds to perform needed electrical and roofing upgrades.

The funds haven’t yet been finalized, board members were told, but the commission believes that $100,000 will be made available for electrical upgrades and another $50,000 could come through to fix any roofing issues.
