Ruby Clark, 76, of Bellefontaine, reportedly was operating a southbound car on T.R. 179 when she stopped at the stop sign and then drove into the path of an eastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Terry McClain, 65, of Bellefontaine, and the vehicles collided.
A third vehicle that was southbound on T.R. 179 took evasive action to avoid the crash and drove into a ditch. That vehicle was operated by Todd Lamb, 39, of Bellefontaine, and he did not report any injuries.
The other two drivers and a passenger in the McClain vehicle, Beverly McClain, 65, of Bellefontaine, each was treated at the scene by paramedics. Damage was heavy to the first two vehicles.
The crash remains under investigation and no citations have yet been issued.
