Father-son involved in numerous thefts

MARYSVILLE — A father and son have been arrested for a strong-armed robbery at the Village Pantry here in January.

The Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force here believe Charles G. Huff, 46, and Brandon C. Huff  21, both of Marysville, were involved in a number of thefts from houses in Union, Delaware and Franklin counties beginning in April 2013. The estimated loss is in excess of $30,000.

The pair would enter homes under construction or for sale as a result of a foreclosure, and remove copper wiring, plumbing and construction tools and equipment, officials report.

They have been charged with a combined 60 criminal counts.

“We suspect they are responsible for many more thefts and break-ins in the three-county area, but we don’t currently have the evidence to place them at other crime scenes,” Union County Sheriff Jamie Patton said in the Marysville Journal Tribune.
