The Benjamin High School robotics team successfully competed on the winning alliance at the 26-team FTC Dayton Qualifying Tournament at Wayne High School.

The team advances to the First Tech Challenge Ohio Championship Robotics Tournament, which takes place at iSpace in Cincinnati Feb. 14 and 15.
Participants include Matt Kavanagh, Jessica Goff, Emily Weidman, Jenna Hardin, Jessica Rutan, Tyler Foreman, Connor Hill and Will Kennedy. Their adviser is Art Stormer.
Students are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots based on sound engineering principles to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design and other real-world accomplishments.
