Angela Harsanyi, 37, of 11028 Mohawk Path, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence following an incident at her address Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 11240 Mohawk Path, Lakeview, about 4:40 p.m. The caller advised that a 14-year-old girl had come to that residence after being involved in a dispute with her mother, Ms. Harsanyi.
When deputies arrived at the home, Ms. Harsanyi reportedly was outside of the residence yelling for her daughter to come outside.
They spoke with the 14-year-old inside the home. She reported during an argument that afternoon, her mother had taken her cell phone and threw it against a wall. The girl said her mother also allegedly struck her several times in the head.
The teen then ran outside her home without a coat or shoes and went to her neighbor’s residence.
Ms. Harsanyi reported that she and her daughter had been in an argument about texting. She admitted to throwing the cell phone, but denied striking her daughter during the confrontation.
The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail. The 14-year-old girl and a 10-year-old child from the home were placed in the custody of a family member through Logan County Children’s Services.
Additional investigation into this matter will be handled by children’s services personnel.
