A defendant with an extensive drug history that dates to his juvenile years was sentenced to in-patient treatment and community control this week in Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Justin Haynes, 22, of Lakeview, was sentenced to West Central Community Based Correctional Facility, five years’ community control, the probation incentive program and ordered to pay a $250 fine, attorney fees and court costs for trafficking in drugs.
His driver’s license must also be suspended for one year.
The defendant told the court Monday he’s clean now and attempting to find a job so that he may care for his wife and young stepdaughter.
In other activity, April McCurdy, 34, of Belle Center, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs. She was granted intervention in lieu of conviction, which requires her to complete three years of community control including drug and alcohol counseling.
