Nine Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce 2014 board members took the oath of office Saturday during the annual dinner at the Indian Lake Moose Lodge.

They included Libby Stidam, treasurer; Derek Gillespie, president; Dan Weitz, Barbara Newland, Pat O’Donnell, Darlene Shick, vice president; Bill Coyer, Shari Fultz and Ashley Mack, secretary.
Award recipients included Citizen of the Year Dave Leiter of Belle Center, who has been instrumental in the formation of the Indian Lake Development Corporation and the Indian Lake Watershed Project, among others.
Volunteer of the Year Rosie O’Boyle of Indian Lake was taken aback when her sister, Ann Nash of Chicago, attended unannounced to witness the award.
Earning the beautification award was Hurley Farms of Huntsville, which recently began keeping the store open year-round and completed a major renovation project.
Don and Jackie Thompson of Indian Lake received a special lifetime volunteer award for their countless years of service to the community.
