Russells Point Police responded to U.S. Route 33 at State Route 708 after a car struck a pedestrian at about 7:32 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Gregory Roose, 57, of Russells Point, attempted to cross U.S. 33 against a green light and was struck by a westbound auto driven by Michael Gilbert, 32, of Wapakoneta.
Mr. Roose, who was wearing dark clothing and is suspected of having used alcohol, had minor injuries and was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake squad.
The Gilbert auto had light damage.
Indian Joint Fire District, Washington Township Police and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
