Robber hits two city drive-thrus

A man reportedly brandishing a handgun robbed two city drive-thrus Friday evening and law authorities remained on the lookout for the suspsect.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to Bernie’s Drive-Thru, 829 N. Main St., after an 8:04 p.m. robbery. Eight minutes later, they were called to the Oasis Drive-Thru, 406 S. Main St., for another robbery in which the suspect descriptions and methods were similar.

The robber came in on foot and he reportedly displayed a handgun at Bernie’s.

The suspect is described as a black male with small build with a black hooded sweatshirt and a red bandana around his face.

Other area law enforcement were notified of the robberies.
