Man jailed for public intoxication

Kevin D. Brown, 31, of Cameron, Okla., was charged with public intoxication early Tuesday morning after an incident in the village of Quincy.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Carlisle Street about 1 a.m. on a report of an intoxicated man who was knocking on residents’ doors and asking for a ride.

They located Mr. Brown on the porch of a home at 515 Carlisle St. He told deputies that he was walking home to Christianburg.

Deputies noted that his speech was slurred and his lips and hands were bloodied. He told them that he had fallen down. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.

• Joshua T. Adkins, 34, address at large, Lakeview, was charged with criminal trespass early Wednesday morning.

A caller advised the sheriff’s office that he had observed a male subject enter the back door of a trailer at Star Mobile Home Park, 8877 Township Road 239, Lakeview.

Deputies responded to Lot 49 about 12:50 a.m., and were assisted by a Russells Point police officer.

They found Mr. Adkins inside the trailer, and he said the door had been unlocked to the residence. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
