The Logan County Education Foundation announced this week that it has awarded $19,506 in education grants to provide area students innovative learning experiences in Logan County classrooms during the 2013-14 school year.
Building grants are sponsored by the foundation and made possible by the community and corporate support of LCEF fundraising activities, including a grant from the Honda of America Foundation. Building grants awards are based on student enrollment.
LCEF manages dedicated grants, which are privately funded by individuals or organizations and are awarded on a competitive basis for individual classroom or teams of teachers to implement.
This year, a grant from the Dayton Power and Light Foundation also funded a science-based grant in each of the four school districts.
