Michael S. Quay, 23, of 10345 Township Road 220, Belle Center, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for parking on a public roadway early Sunday morning.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of State and Charles streets in Belle Center about 12:15 a.m. in reference to a vehicle parked in the road and the driver slumped over the steering wheel.

When they arrived on the scene, they woke up the driver, Mr. Quay, and observed an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. He was administered field sobriety tests and was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he refused to submit to a urine or breath test.

Man lodged for disorderly conduct

William J.C. Brewer, 22, of 235 Brown St., Lakeview, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct Friday after an incident in Lakeview.

Deputies were dispatched to 425 Union St. in reference to a possible domestic violence call. A male subject, Mr. Brewer, had left the residence and was observed on Brown Street pushing a bicycle.

His speech was slurred and he acted disoriented, deputies said. The defendant also was bleeding from an injury to his head and arm. He told deputies that he had fallen.

He was transported by Indian Lake squad to Mary Rutan Hospital, and then was transferred to the Logan County Jail.
