Aushele G. Sarver, 19, of Lakeview, and Chanc D. Carter, 25, of Bellefontaine, each was transported by medical helicopter to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus Sunday evening for incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the one-vehicle crash on County Road 1 near Township Road 199, and have not yet determined whether Ms. Sarver or Mr. Carter was the driver of the vehicle.
They reportedly were in a northbound car about 8:40 p.m. when they went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
Also assisting at the scene were troopers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, West Liberty Fire Department, Macochee EMS, and Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
Man jailed for abusing harmful intoxicants
Jason W. Clevenger, 32, of 645 S. Township Road 33, Bellefontaine, was charged with a felony count of abusing harmful intoxicants Friday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to his residence about 1:45 p.m., and he was found passed out with an aerosol can in his hand.
Bellefontaine EMS responded to the home and checked Mr. Clevenger. He was transported to the Logan County Jail, and was issued the felony charged because of a prior conviction.
