Randy “Dalton” Jones, 18, and his brother, Clyde Christian “Dillon” Jones, 16, of 700 Township Road 179, Bellefontaine, each was charged this week with criminal mischief regarding a vandalism incident in Zanesfield, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
A manager of a rental property at 3593 S. County Road 5, Zanesfield, reported Oct. 8 that he observed two male juveniles leaving the home when he arrived that day.
Then inside the home, the manager found that the door had been kicked in, kitchen cabinets had been ripped off their hinges, and a window had been busted out. There also were holes in the drywall and other damage at the property.
The two brothers, who previously lived at the C.R. 5 residence, were identified as suspects.
The older teen said he went with his brother and his brother’s friend to the home and admitted to damaging walls inside the house. Dillon also admitted to deputies that he put holes in the walls of the house.
Dillon was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center, and Dalton was booked into the Logan County Jail about 11 a.m. Thursday.
A third suspect also was interviewed by deputies, and a report has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office in reference to possible charges for that individual.
