Three people were charged Friday with burglary after detectives with the Logan County Joint Drug Task Force observed suspected drug activity out of Leann Mann’s 1160 Greenwood St. residence.
She was not home at the time and officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department contacted her about people inside her home. She told police no one was given permission to be in her home.
Marcus Q. Tabler, 30, of Columbus, was arrested for burglary and served a warrant for failure to appear. Columbus residents Matthew J. Williams, 23, and Brieana J. Hart, 25, each was charged with burglary.
Officers and detectives surrounded the residence and gained access to the residence through a window. All three suspects were upstairs and ordered to come down. A police dog and its handler were on scene and prepared to enter the residence for a search and apprehension.
The suspects complied with the orders and were taken into custody.
All were lodged in the Logan County Jail. While searching Mr. Williams’ two pair of pants, jailers recovered $990 in cash.
Detectives report there was no drugs recovered at the residence, but there was evidence associated with the packaging and sale of crack cocaine.
