Logan County Fair Board members at a regular meeting Wednesday discussed how to go about keeping 4-H participants or members of their family from soliciting prospective buyers for additional bids during the livestock sale.
Sales committee members met with several buyers and were informed that 4-H members and/or some of their family had approached buyers during the auction and tried to persuade them to increase their bids or to bid on their particular project.
The fair board is considering a $50 fine for any junior fair member caught soliciting bids during future livestock sales.
