DBP busy with Art Hop and Christmas event

A reorganized Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership is gearing up for events this week and in December.

Thursday, 17 businesses will host artists and their work from 4 to 7 p.m. as part of the first Fall Art Hop.

Local artists from the Logan County Art League will display work and will demonstrate and discuss some of their techniques. Refreshments will be available at each Hop location.

The Hop will dovetail into a 7:30 p.m. concert at the Holland Theatre, 127 E. Columbus Ave., featuring the Gypsy jazz group, Hot Club of Detroit.

Concert tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and students and $7 for children under 12. Tickets are available online at or by calling the theatre at (937) 592-9002 during office hours, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays and at the door the night of the performance.

On Dec. 6, the DBP will host its Hometown Christmas event from 6 to 8 p.m. and it will include the Christmas Parade.

Planning for the event continues under the leadership of Ben Joseph of Belle Printing. He can be reached at 592-5161 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
