Scout leaders ready to charge photographer

bellefontainepolice patch

Two leaders of a local Girl Scout troop reported Monday a woman was hired to take photographs of the scouts in April. All of the orders were prepaid with promised delivery in July or August.

The leaders, April Jameson and Rachel Kopplin, both of Bellefontaine, said the suspect had failed to meet the deadline. Subsequent efforts to meet with her or talk with her have failed to resolve the issue.

An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department reached the suspect and informed her she could be charged if she fails to provide the photographs. She promised to have the photographs to the troop leaders by Friday.

Several face shoplifting charges

Teresa Miller, 50, of 4127 County Road 47, was arrested for theft on Monday, officers report.

She allegedly walked out of Wal-Mart, 2281 S. Main St., with a candy bar stashed in her purse and ignored store security personnel who asked her to stop.

Officers called her and requested her to come to the department. She was arrested and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

• Donald D. Everhardt, 15, of 209 Water Ave., and Thomas Wayne, 15, of 416 S. Madriver St., each was charged with delinquency theft Saturday after they tried to conceal protective cell phone cases in their pants pockets and walk out of Wal-Mart around 7:20 p.m. The boys were released to guardians.
