Motorcyclist injured in alcohol-related crash

Kenneth Sims, 61, of Englewood, was transported by Riverside squad to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney for injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report he was operating a westbound motorcycle on County Road 21 just west of County Road 24 about 1:40 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road and his vehicle overturned. The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle.

Mr. Sims reportedly was not wearing a helmet, troopers said. He was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to control.

OVI arrest reported

Todd Roberts, 38, of Bellefontaine, was charged with OVI and received a stoplight violation following a traffic stop about 1:50 a.m. today at Detroit Street and Lake Avenue in Bellefontaine.
