Family member arrested for petty theft

Nathan A. Beach, 27, of 3346 S. County Road 32, Bellefontaine, was charged with petty theft after an incident at his residence Wednesday night and early this morning.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his address about 12:20 a.m. in reference to a family member making threats.

Mr. Beach allegedly had started to make threats after he was accused of taking a small amount of money from a purse at the home.

His mother, Virginia Beach, had called the sheriff’s office earlier that evening about the theft.

When deputies arrived at the home, they were met by Mr. Beach and he reportedly gave them his hands and said “just arrest me.” He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Student charged with menacing

Kenneth Styne, 17, of Kenton, was charged with menacing Wednesday following an incident at Benjamin Logan High School.

Deputies responded to the school about 11:30 a.m. in reference to a student making threats against a 16-year-old female student.

Several students witnessed the threats. Kenneth admitted to deputies that he made the threats against the girl. He was lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
