Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report Mr. Holton was driving a southwest bound 2002 Honda Accord on S.R. 347 about 4 p.m. when he turned left in front of a 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan traveling northeast. The minivan took evasive action, but was struck by the Accord.
The impact forced the minivan off the right side of the road where it struck a fence and a ditch near the plant entrance. The car came to rest on the road.
Troopers said Mr. Holton, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a head injury but was coherent and talking at the scene.
The minivan's driver, Richard Ackley Jr., 51, of Toledo, did not report any injures. He was wearing a seat belt.
Perry Township and Allen Township fire and squad assisted, and Honda Fire Department helped troopers direct traffic.
Damage to the vehicles was heavy.
Traffic in and out of the plant and on S.R. 347 was delayed for a time.
